Das Wortspiel @ Most Wanted Music

In February, the Russian war of aggression against Ukraine began, and millions of people, mainly women and children, have fled. Among them are numerous musicians, losing their stages and audiences along with their homes. But they are still making music – something which is even more vital than ever, as this is a war that aims to erase their cultural identity. This is where willkommensKULTUR comes in – and, in cooperation with the Ukrainian organization VITSCHE – invites you to get to know Ukrainian musicians in exile, allowing you to support them as they pursue their passion – and to help preserve the cultural diversity of Ukraine.

Ukrainian singer/poet Maryana Golovko (Suok) and composer/producer Max Smogol both hail from Kyiv and are currently based in Berlin. They now continue their musical activities as Das Wortspiel – and you are warmly invited to see them perform at Kesselhaus!
